Introduction

Welcome to Rose County, a Red Dead Redemption 2 roleplay server hosted on RedM.

This rulebook is designed to ensure a fair, immersive, and enjoyable experience for all players.

By joining our server, you agree to adhere to these rules. We aim to foster a respectful and creative community where roleplay comes first.

General Rules

Respect All Players: All interactions should be conducted with respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and any form of abuse will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disciplinary action.

No Cheating: The use of hacks, exploits, or any form of cheating is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban.

Follow Government Instructions: The Government ensures the smooth running of the server. Their instructions must be followed at all times.

Report Issues: Any bugs, exploits, or rule violations should be reported to the Government team through the designated reporting channels.

Nepotism: The act of showing bias or favor to friends or colleagues in positions of power is prohibited.

Roleplaying Rules

Stay In Character: Players must remain in character at all times while in-game. Use period-appropriate language and behaviors.

Metagaming: Using out-of-character information to influence in-character actions is strictly prohibited.

Powergaming: Forcing actions on other players without giving them the opportunity to respond or consent is not allowed. All interactions should be collaborative.

FailRP: Failing to act reasonably and realistically within the roleplay context is prohibited.

No OOC Talk: Keep all in-character (IC) conversations separate from out-of-character (OOC) discussions.

No RDM/VDM: Random Deathmatching (RDM) and Vehicle Deathmatching (VDM) are prohibited.

No Combat Logging: Logging out to avoid roleplay or consequences is not allowed.

No Toxicity: Racism, transphobia, homophobia, or any other forms of toxic behavior are not tolerated.

Character Creation

Realistic Characters: Characters should fit within the historical context of the Red Dead Redemption universe. Avoid creating characters that are unrealistic or lore-breaking.

Character Names: Use appropriate and period-correct names. Offensive or troll names are not allowed.

Backstory: Develop a detailed backstory for your character, outlining their history, motivations, and personality. This will enrich your roleplaying experience and interactions with others.

Original Characters: No child characters, erotic roleplay, or names of historical figures, celebrities, or video game characters. All characters must be original.

Serious Roleplay: This is a serious roleplay server. Use of Discord VC is allowed, but do not use it for meta-gaming.

In-Game Behavior

Roleplay Quality: Strive for high-quality roleplay. Engage in detailed and immersive interactions, avoiding one-liners and aimless behavior.

No Random Killing (RDM): Do not kill other players without a valid in-character reason. Random acts of violence disrupt the roleplaying experience.

Respect Property: Avoid damaging or stealing property without proper roleplay context and justification.

Proper Initiation: Ensure that if your character intends to perform criminal activities such as kidnapping, murder, or robbing, proper initiation is used.

FearRP: Ensure that if you are under gunpoint and outnumbered, you do not attempt to fight back. You should fear for your life.

No Exploiting/Cheating: Exploiting game mechanics or cheating in any form is strictly forbidden.

No Power-Hungry Behavior: Just because you have a position of authority does not mean you can abuse it. Be fair and considerate to all players.

New Life Rule: If you get downed, you must forget the events of the last 30 minutes.

Interactions and Conflict

Consent in Roleplay: For intense roleplay scenarios, ensure all parties are comfortable and consent to the scene. Use "Fade to Black" (FTB) if necessary.

Conflict Resolution: Attempt to resolve conflicts through roleplay first. If a resolution cannot be found, involve Government to mediate the situation.

Kidnapping and Hostage Situations: Such scenarios must be well-planned and agreed upon by all parties involved. Ensure that the roleplay is enriching for everyone.

No Fake Hostages: Hostages must be real and not staged.

No Vigilantism: Do not interfere with law enforcement unless it’s your role.

Server Economy

Fair Trade: Engage in fair and realistic trade practices. Avoid scamming or engaging in unrealistic economic behavior. When trading, to avoid being labeled as a scammer, inform the buyer of your profit margins on the sale.

Jobs and Professions: Choose and roleplay jobs and professions in a manner consistent with the skills and knowledge your character would realistically have.

No USD'ing: Do not sell your in-game items for real-life currency. It is against CFX Terms and Conditions to allow this.

Law Enforcement and Crime

Criminal Activities: Engage in criminal activities with proper roleplay and realism. Avoid unrealistic crime sprees.

Law Enforcement Roleplay: Lawmen should roleplay their duties with integrity and fairness. Corruption should be rare and roleplayed with depth and context.

Jail and Punishments: Accept the consequences of your character’s actions, including jail time and punishments. Time served in Sisika Jail may be used as an alternative to banning.

Crime Timing: No crimes can be committed 15 minutes before or after a server reset.

Robbery Conduct: When robbing someone, do not take their unequipped guns, food, or water. You can take all their cash and other items.

Killing After Robbery: Do not kill someone after robbing them unless they give a valid RP reason.

Body Disposal: Do not dump bodies in places where player doctors cannot access.

Clear Initiation: Ensure sufficient initiation before engaging in criminal RP. Make it clear and explicit that the player is about to be robbed or killed.

Communication

OOC (Out of Character) Chat: Use OOC chat sparingly and respectfully. Do not spam or flood the chat with off-topic conversations.

Voice Chat: Ensure voice chat is immersive and fits the setting. Avoid out-of-character discussions while in-game.

Discord and Forums: Follow server rules on all associated communication platforms. (3442) Maintain the same level of respect and decorum.

Government and Reporting

Reporting Issues: Use the designated channels to report rule violations, bugs, or other issues. Provide as much detail as possible to assist the Government team.

Government Decisions: Respect the decisions made by Government. They are final and aimed at maintaining server integrity.

Appealing Bans: Follow the outlined procedure for appealing bans or disciplinary actions. Provide a detailed explanation and any relevant evidence.

Consequences and Ban Policy

Warning System: Repeated minor offenses will lead to warnings. Accumulating warnings may result in temporary or permanent bans.

Temporary Bans: Significant rule violations may result in temporary bans. The duration will depend on the severity of the offense.

Permanent Bans: Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent bans. There is a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and severe harassment.

Sisika Jail Rehabilitation: As an alternative to banning, players may serve time in Sisika Jail. For instance, a two-day ban may be replaced with 48 hours of real-time in-game jail, which can be reduced by participating in rehabilitation activities within the prison.

Updates and Changes

Rule Updates: The rules may be updated periodically. Players are expected to stay informed about any changes by regularly checking the server’s communication platforms.

Feedback: Player feedback is valuable. Use the appropriate channels to suggest improvements or changes to the rules or server features.
